Lisa Schmidt, Bears Super Fan
Ok, I will tell you all now that I knew Shaun Alexander was going to get hurt. How, you ask? He is on the Madden game. Every year since a player has been put on the Madden game, that player has gotten hurt or had a very bad season (this is dating back to 2000). Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madden_curse if you'd like to read more about it! I was sure I even warned my boyfriend not to pick him for fantasy. Of course, I couldn't have predicted it would come at an opportune time such is this, but the Seahawks are still not an easy team to beat. Hasselbeck still threw for 5 touchdowns with Alexander not playing his best. They are an extremely offensive team, so our defense is really going to have play their best this week.
Winning ugly is still winning. Hopefully the officiating on Sunday will be better than the officiating last Sunday. I seriously wanted to vomit with some of those calls they were making. I didn't realize grabbing someone around the shoulder was unnecessary roughness. But I guess that's why i don't make the big bucks. But the Bears pulled it out for me, as an early birthday present since they can't play on my actual birthday.
I think Rex is going to have to be on fire Sunday to keep up with the offense, because I know our defense is awesome, but I still think Seattle will score. I say 31-17 Bears. I like when they score over 30 points, it makes me feel good. :-)
