Kathee Meade, Bears Super FanKathee Meade – Bears Super Fan!
Even though I hate for anyone to get injured, I’d have to be honest and tell all of you that there was a slight smirk on my face the moment I heard that Shaun Alexander broke his foot and wouldn’t be able to play against our Bears on Sunday Night. What a break (in more ways than one)! Every little bit helps when it comes to continuing an undefeated record. Especially since Hassellbeck had a franchise record-tying 5 touchdown passes in this past Sunday’s game. Our defensive line needs to back him up, causing him to have to hurry plays and make poor decisions that he will regret later!
I said it in my first-ever Bears Super Fan Blog – “The golden leg of Robbie Gould”. That boy can kick and he is exactly what The Bears need to keep them on track with regard to putting points on the board. He is a sure confidence-booster for the team. If nobody can do it, Robbie can!
I think Devin might have gotten a bit big-headed from his long punt return against Green Bay because since then, he has returned many a kickoff and punt return and seems to have lost direction of which way he is supposed to go. The first thing every kick return player learns (besides how to catch the ball) is to run North/South – as fast as one can. Kind of like a bullet being shot from a gun. Running East/West can work; however, more times than not, it’s unsuccessful.
