Lisa Schmidt
Lisa Schmidt, Bears Super Fan

BEARS! I admit, I didn't appreciate the stress that was placed on all us Bears fans for the first time this year. But all my worries went away as soon as Fox showed the stat on screen "Rex Grossman has never thrown a fourth quarter touchdown in his career." Sometimes the jinxes work in your favor. Like yesterday.

It was so perfect to see the fans in Minnesota deflate. To see those Viking horns get lowered to their sides. To hear the many Bears fans who made the trip to Minnesota erupt when Rex connected to Davis for that touchdown. That's what good quarterbacks do. They make big game winning plays. Even in a stadium that they haven't won in in five years. It was a sloppy game (what was with some of those penalties), some of the worst officiating I have seen in a long time, and not well thought out timeouts and what not by the Bears. But winning ugly is okay, as long as you win.

I am not really sure why Thomas Jones stayed in as long as his did. Now I know I advocated him starting because of what he did last year. However, I never said if he is not producing that Benson shouldn't get a shot. Because, TJ was not producing yesterday. Benson should have gotten a shot. You have to earn your spot on an NFL team, and you have to continue to play well in order to keep it, and so far Thomas Jones hasn't been doing that.

Another happy Monday in Bear land. Seattle may be a tough matchup on Sunday -- but they were up 35 nothing against the Giants yesterday, and only ended up winning by 12. I think we can take em.
