Gail Freund, Bears SuperfanGail Freund, Bears Superfan

The Bears maybe getting lots of national coverage now, but no one is getting as much coverage as T.O. I am really tired of hearing about him and his blow-ups. Yesterday three different tv channels had it timed so no matter which channel you switched to, there he was. Even when they showed his first td, it looked like he was just waiting for everyone to run up and hug him.

There's been some interesting interviews and stories on the Bears players. It was reported sometime ago that Rex and his wife had bought a house within jogging distance of Halas Hall. A piece this weekend said that his wife is only 23 and would much rather live downtown to take part in the nightlife, but Rex wanted to be close to the practice facility. He purchased a $1000.00 computer and spends his off-time in the basement watching tapes. His dedication is certainly paying off.

The funniest interview was with Bernard. He said that Muhsin gave him a lot of advise, telling him to be patient because his time would come. The reporter asked if Bernard and Muhsin are like big brother, little brother. Bernard laughed and said he's kind of old to be considered a big brother...more like a father! Ahh..youth! Everyone seems old....

Did anyone hear Matt Leinart's interview where he said they weren't worried because the Bears played all their starters in pre-season and lost to Arizona?

Then there was the report about all the problems with the Cardinals. The sportscaster said that at a meeting last week, two defensive linemen walked out, and one player jumped on one of the coaches. He said it didn't get too much publicity thanks to T.O.

12-1/2 hours to go. It's been a long wait since last Sunday. The next wait will be worse with the bye week.

GO BEARS! BEARS WIN 38-3.
