Eileen, Bears Superfan

I hope y'all don't mistake me, I still cheer (and I cheer LOUDLY) for one and for all when they are wearing the Bears jersey (and even sometimes once they no longer wear it) and Cedric is no exception-- but I sure wanted that shutout on Sunday and I find it difficult to let go of my little grudges at times. It was just soooo heartbreaking to be soooo close and to not get that shutout. But Gail-- I think you were right about Urlacher, it didn't look like roughing the passer to me. I don't know how he could have stopped that forward movement.

Speaking of cheering loudly-- my sister sent me a Trib article this week about the whole Soldier Field semi-recent tradition between Riebandt (announcer) and the crowd for timeouts, that goes as follows.

Riebandt: "There's a timeout."
Crowd: "Where?"
Riebandt: "On the field."
Crowd: "Ohhh."

I guess with the decibel levels climbing exponentially with each win, this strange tradition has gotten a lot more mileage and also has stirred up some controversy. There are a lot people who get very peevish and angry about it (my sister may number among them). Any thoughts on the matter, anyone?

Bear down, Chicago Bears. Make every play clear the way to victory!
