Sue Rhein, Bears Super FanIf I could only predict the winning lottery numbers as well as my prediction of other teams being afraid to come to Soldier Field to play the Bears I would be a millionaire, but since I'm not that great at picking the lottery numbers, I'll stick with my day job.
If I have confused you as to what I am talking about, I'll explain. I wrote in yesterday's blog that I wanted other teams to be afraid of the Bears when they come to play them at Soldier Field, well my wish has come true. I was on the train heading home last night when I read an article in the SunTimes that stated as follows:
"Mike Holmgren told reporters in Seattle on Monday that he went home the night before, after a victory over the New York Giants, promising himself he would live in the moment and not let his mind wander forward. Alas, the danger presented by the Bears' vaunted defense left the Seahawks coach mulling over Sunday's game at Soldier Field instead of appreciating his team's 3-0 start."
If the Bears Defense can cause worry to a man who, just a few years back feared nothing and no one when he walked into the opposing teams stadium because he had a gun slinging quarterback by the name of Favre in his holster, then you know that the Bears Defense has evolved into the "Monsters of the Midway" from years past.
