Gail, Bears Superfan
At this point I haven't read everything my fellow bloggers have written because you must admit, Kenneth and Paul have written essays. I promise to get to them. To answer Kenneth, I don't think you will have to wait 21 more years for a Super Bowl win from the Bears. And how come none of my fellow bloggers noticed me in the Sun Times article, too?
I probably can't add too much to what has already been said. The first quarter was so exciting, starting with Devin. He was unbelievable. It's fun to see him watching himself on the screen as he's running in. I was practically hyperventilating the entire quarter. My friend that's in from Baltimore was really having the pre-game jitters. From early Sunday morning until kick-off he was throwing up. And you may think this loss is difficult for Bears fans....but think of how people from Baltimore feel about the Colts winning.
We went to Halas Hall yesterday and saw some of the players and families return. Except for the media we were the only fans there. We waved and applauded, and they all waved back.
It was a great season, and as bad as we feel over the loss, the players feel worse. It's also a bittersweet end to the season because now you can pretty much guess who won't be back next season (RE-SIGN LANCE!!)
It was fun doing the Superfan Blog with all of you. And, thanks, fellows, for winning the NFC Championship and going to the Super Bowl!
GO BEARS!
