Lisa Schmidt, Bears Super Fan
Okay, maybe other players have held out. But Thomas Jones has proved himself. No running back since Sweetness has rushed for that many yards on the Bears. He deserved to be our starter. I firmly believe that if someone has given the job their all and proven themselves time and again, they should be rewarded. Now some of you may bring up Kyle Orton. Yes, the Bears did very well under Kyle -- but not offensively. Most of our touchdowns were scored by the defense. So Kyle didn't prove he could be an offensive threat. Thomas Jones, on the other hand, did.
On a much happier note, I am going to the game on Sunday! Just found out tonight, so me and my guy will be there in the North end zone. I am so excited. I just have a feeling Mike Brown is gonna come through for me and run a touchdown right back to me (and, Mike, if you're reading, my birthday is coming up and a football from you would be a great gift).
I always have high expectations for the Bears. Seeing them play so cohesively on Sunday has only strengthened my expectations. The Bears should go 12-4, get a first round bye in the playoffs, and go on to enjoy Super Bowl victory.
