Looking forward to the Bears' encore performance as the season progress to Week 2 - Detroit Lions.

Last week's "Green Bay Massacre" left us eagerly anticipating more from the Da Bears! Where is the story heading as the season unfolds? What can the Chicago Bears do for an encore?

As each game builds upon the prior - only the next battle will matter most. And so on and so on, until all of the acts are finished over the next 141 days and the final encore in Miami. At which time, we'll promptly look ahead to what's in store for 2007 / 2008.

I think Lovie Smith said it best - "Last time we played, we didn't play as well as we need to defensively - you know, with the game that counted, in the playoffs - but I thought the guys really stepped up today."

Let's remember four months from now that it was the head coach who said only postseason games really count. I think Lovie is right on this one!
