Where's Kenneth this Season?
Gail Freund, Bears SuperfanIt looks like most of the bloggers have jumped off the bandwagon. We need Kenneth back. He always got the group going.
The Bears brought back running back PJ Pope to the practice squad and released wide receiver David Ball. Hmm...
I've forgotten to mention Israel Idonije and Jamar Williams on Special Teams. They have both been consistently good. Their hard hitting plays are making them household names. I even need to give props to Adewale. As everyone knows this is difficult for me, but he made his presense known to the Chiefs this past Sunday.
Also, what a smart play from Devin standing with his foot out-of-bounds so the Bears could take over the ball at the 40. Here is a copy of what Josh Ellis, Staff Writer on the DallasCowboys.com website had to say about Devin:
Just kick it out of bounds! The stats say Bears sparkplug Devin Hester is the NFL's premier return man. Ever. Among returners with at least 50 punt or kickoff returns, his return-to-TD ratio is best, taking it to the house once every 12.5 attempts, for a total of six scores. Who's second? Someone named Gale Sayers scored every 14.8 times he returned a kick while playing for Chicago from 1965-71.
I'm happy for Tank that Dallas was willing to give him a chance and signed him yesterday. Hopefully, it will work out for both Tank and the Cowboys.
For those of you interested in more Bears Activities, the date of October 30th has been set for Football 101 Workshop for Women. The Bears Fan Convention date has also been announced for June 2008. You'll need to check Chicagobears.com/events for future updates.
Congratulations to Lance who was named one of the five finalists for the GMC Defensive Player of the Week. Don't forget to vote for him on NFL.com before 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
Finally, Sports Page on Rand Road in Arlington Heights provides roundtrip bus transportation to the games. The cost is $35.00 per person. This includes a sandwich and beverages on the bus.
GO BEARS!!
