Bears Win Ugly Over Chiefs
Susan Rhein, Bears SuperfanThe Bears Win over the Chiefs on Sunday wasn't exactly what I would call pretty and it wasn't as easy as some people had predicted it would be.
However, the Defense did an awesome job as usual to stop the Chiefs from having any kind of run game and Special Teams or as some of the people in Section 355 of Soldier Field where I have my seats call it "Hester Time" had a phenomenal day. Finally, we come to our beloved Offense, where Rex was more "Bad Rex" than "Good Rex" but, in Rex's defense, I can honestly ask this question, where were the blockers??
I loved that Benson and Pederson were able to see the holes and gain yardage and what an awesome touchdown pass by Rex to St. Clair. From the North East end zone, all I saw was everyone running to the South East end zone and then out of the corner of my eye, I see Rex stop and turn and throw to the South West end zone and at first I was thinking who is he throwing too and then there in plain sight was St. Clair all by his lonesome on the South West end zone just waiting for Rex to notice that not only was he open but, that he was there all alone.
I as well as everyone else I'm sure was very disappointed when Hester's second punt return was taken away due to a holding call. We (the North East end zone) were to busy jumping up and down, screaming and high-fiving each other to notice that the punt return was called back. It wasn't until a couple of seconds after the punt return was called back that I noticed that the Bears were back in the South end zone and setting up for another play. That's when I had to ask someone as to what had happened. That was a heartbreaking loss.
Next up the Dallas Cowboys, Bears Offense better pull themselves together if they intend to score points against their Defense.
GO BEARS
