Kenneth Sothman, Bears Superfan
For those worried, I’ll just calm you down right now before the game even starts. Breathe in, breathe out, and then say it out loud with me: Rex is going to be alright tomorrow.
In fact, right now I’ll give my own personal guarantee that Rex will transform back into MVP form. Going into tomorrow’s game San Francisco’s pass defense is ranked 30th in the league in pass yards allowed, and they’re also tied for second last in the league in pass touchdowns. Combine this with the large amount of possessions the Bears defense will give the offense because of a shaky quarterback in Smith and a running back on the slide like Gore, plus home-field advantage, and in the end you have a recipe for an offensive explosion.
The only thing stopping Rex tomorrow game is a break-out game by Thomas or Benson, whoever decides to be the rushing hero of the week.
My prediction for tomorrow’s game is: Bears 37, 49ers 13.
