My advice to Rex Grossman

My advice to Rex Grossman
· Don’t play desperate
· Play smart – take what the defense gives you
· Don’t put the Bears Defense in a bind
· Let the plays develop and come to you
· Let the running game develop – you have 3 great running backs
· Look each lineman in the eyes and secure their blocking support
· In the opening drives work towards getting 1st downs
· Its ok to work towards good field goal range – Your team mate is the best kicker in the NFL
· Be patient in the Red Zone - Trust your QB instincts / Don’t over analyze
· Most of All Have Fun!!!

Rex is a good quarterback with tremendous potential and has much to learn only with experience. Now that he is injury-free, he can get in-game experience rather than watching from the sidelines as a cheerleader.

The media winds swirl for Rex's benching, but doing so would be a detriment to his psyche and maturation process. You don't bench the future of the team just because he struggles. Rex needs to learn from his mistakes.
