Mark Bradley, Bears Super Fan
Can you hear us now?
WOW!
That was the most amazing game I've ever attended. That’s right folks - I was hovered over the 20 Yard line - on the second deck within the Cadillac Club. Thank you Mitch & Lisa for the ticket! I found myself saying WOW! More times than I can remember.
Let's start with the tailgate party in the south parking lot. What an amazing group of fans! The weather was perfect, the grills where all fired up as the smoke would rise to meet the Outback Blimp, as it was hovering the city. Bean Bag Toss and football tossing within in the cramped aisles of the parking lot. Food and refreshments where aplenty. I had the chance to try some of Chuck's Southern Comfort Food - Great stuff. As I was talking with folks they where very excited about the game; and had some basic concerns if Rex and the offense can step up and meet the challenge of Seattle’s defense. Most folks I talked with hoped that Shawn Alexander would play so that would not be a factor in critics eyes. In addition to a couple of birthday celebrations - I got to see first hand - Fiesta Bob climb up on top of the truck and give his Knute Rockne speech 90 min before kick-off. As Fiesta Bob delivered his speech - he was sure to make it loud enough so that the Seattle Camp a few cars down would have no trouble receiving the message - which the Bears delivered on.
Now heading towards the stadium and trying to complete our refreshments before entering the gates… You can feel the buzz in the air as you look around and see the Bears fans decked out in full colors and cheers of “Go Bears” or “Da Bears.” You also see folks who have setup camp to watch the game on TV from within the parking lot just outside the stadium. I saw vans setup with full screen TV’s and monster speakers flanking the doors of the van - Impressive setups! At the security checkpoint I did get the basic search – still not positive what they are looking for?Seems they should have found it by now.;-)
Just inside the door we received our Chicago Bears car flag sponsored by US Cellular.
Like a dial on the stereo you feel the intensity and excitement of the game rise…. The music is playing and the air is filled with the vendor’s cuisine and fans scurrying to grab refreshments and food. Heading over to Section 206 and down to our row and over to my seat – hovered over the 20 Yard line. This is great!
