Danielle Barrera, Web InternDanielle Barrera, Web Intern

Hey Bears Fans!
Danielle here. You will be happy to know that I am getting into the Bears. Not only that, but I might have a little crush on Rex Grossman-- even though he had a bad game Monday-- it's deep! Just kidding, but really, I smell like a bandwagon!!! Okay lets get down to business--"BEARS BUSINESS." Once again, thank you for your comments on last weeks 'show'. This week is looking a lot better-- I just wanted to remind everyone that even though Lindsay and I are interns at NBC 5... we do not have access to any games in order to shoot our own B-roll nor do we have access to the stations B-roll. Also, the NFL is very strict when it comes to allowing video and audio content on websites. Therefore, we had to take out a Dennis Green clip from our mini show and improvise!

Enjoy and I'll see you next week on "Bears Business"

Danielle

I had no broadcast training in J-school, so take my comments for what they're worth.

I think you two have improved a great deal over last week. I only have two small criticisms.

It looked like, about 4 minutes in, there were two missed edits. The end of Lovie's clip should have been prior to him asking for questions and Danielle's repitition should have been edited out.

More importantly, however, you two are supposed to sports commentators, not political commentators. That's not a statement about content, but delivery. You should, to my mind, sound more like GameDay Live or GameNight Live, not Meet The Press. You seem eager, but not enthused. Sports reporting doesn't require the same objectivity as straight news reporting, so you don't have to be so restrained.

You're are doing very well. Keep up the great worth!

Bears Business is out of control... definitely much improved from the first week.

The one thing I did notice is basically the same thing that Mister Bixby pointed out actually, it sorta felt like watching a news program instead of a show like "GameDay Live". You girls are headed in the right direction though.

I'm in agreement with Ken & Mr Bixby, you are on the right track!

My I suggest reviewing the tapes from the Sports Machine on NBC usually aired on Sunday Nights.

The interaction of how they break down the game and volley back and forth the key points. Kinda of what you are trying todo.

The host are George Michael & Lindsay Czarniak.

Granted the Sports Machine does not present commentary or criticism, just the weekend's highlights, then a in-depth story about a particular athlete. You could review the concepts and interactions then apply them to what your doing. Just a thought - hope it helps.
