Bears lose to Browns

Susan Rhein, Bears Superfan

Well all I can say about Thursday's game against the Browns is that it didn't look pretty. I missed the first 4 minutes of the game because I was stuck in traffic going from Work to the Stadium. I missed the Starters in what was their last game of the preseason. When I saw that Griese was in at quarterback, I immediately asked what happened to Rex and I was told that the Starters went 3 and out twice and that they were finished for the night. How depressing it was to sit and watch the Bears lose their last preseason game at home.

A friend of mine met me at the stadium and after realizing that we had missed the Starters in their last game during preseason, I told him that at least we will get to see what the Second and Third Stringers have in store for us in the regular season and that we would be able to see what if anything the Rookies learned during training camp.

I wasn't impressed with how Griese played at quarterback against the Browns and I was hoping that the Bears would release him and keep Chris Leak as a Third Stringer and then that would move Kyle to Second String behind Rex but, since the Bears released Chris Leak, I guess that's not going to happen.

Two players that I really took a liking to during the Bears/Browns game are Wolfe and Hass. Wolfe was an awesome sight to see running around on the field like a man with a mission once he had that football in his hands and the same goes for Hass. I felt bad for Manning, he looked to be struggling in the returns department, maybe Devin can give him a couple of pointers.

Well here we are 2 days until the Bears first game of the season and I'm reading everything and anything that I can on the Bears website to see if there are any loop holes that the Bears can use to up end the Chargers and bring the first win of the season home to Chicago. So far from what I have read, it sounds as though the Bears are going to be matched up player for player against the Chargers, except where L.T. is concerned. L.T. is a threat to the Bears Defense but, I have faith in our Defense to stop the run and to only allow L.T. a few yards instead of allowing him to run the field.
