Best team in the league? This is starting to become an interesting debate. Ken, I'll ignore your backhanded slap at the Colts "choke" last season and your constant attacks on Peyton Manning. I'll also ignore your previous post where you said you'd take Michael Vick over Manning. OK, so I won't ignore them. What has Michael Vick ever won? There's a guy named Elway who had plenty of playoff frustration throughout his career, but closed things out with two Super Bowls. There's plenty of time for Peyton to produce.
But I digress. Truth be told, I'm really liking this Bears team. Didn't I tell y'all that offense feels good? It must, because judging by the tone of these posts, the Bears Super Fan bloggers are downright giddy! Glenn, you asked me if I think the Colts would really have a chance against the Bears? It would certainly be an intriguing matchup. The Daily Herald had rankings today among all the unbeaten teams, and Indy is ahead -- barely -- of Chicago and Baltimore in all major offensive categories, but the Colts lag far behind on defense. Not a major surprise there. What it may come down to, is experience. The Colts keep knocking on the door, and you'd think they would break through eventually. These aren't the Buffalo Bills circa early-1990s after all.
Having said that, after living nearly two years in this city now, I am starting to feel ike a Chicagoan, and living a stone's throw away from Soldier Field, I am starting to envision the absolute joy that would envelope this city if the Bears won the Super Bowl. It's certainly a memory that would last a lifetime. So for now... please keep my seat warm on the bandwagon!

Strong strong words coming from a Colts fan. You ask what Vick has won, but let's take a quick look at Mr. Manning's winning resume, shall we?
- Never won a state championship in high school.
- Never beat the University of Florida.
- Got beat pretty bad by Nebraska in the 1998 Orange Bowl.
- 3-6 in the playoffs, with zero Super Bowl appearancces.
Now if I remember right John Elway never won his Super Bowl until he finally deflated his ego (something Marino couldn't do until it was too late) and let Terrell Davis carry the load. And I'm sorry to say, but it already seems like the Colts had a very good running back in Edgerrin James and let him float. And thanks to Mr. Manning's lucrative contract, I'm not too sure they'll be signing any good free agents anytime soon.
Mr. Vick on the other hand may not have won anything yet, but what he's done so far with lesser passing skills I think proves once he does improve, he's a walking Super Bowl champion in the making. Remember this is the same guy that finished off Brett Favre's respectable career in 2003 and led the Falcolns to an NFC Championship game in 2004. His time will come.
And you're right, the Colts aren't the Bills from the early 90's. Those Bills at least made the SuperBowl.
