Lisa Schmidt, Bears Super Fan
Okay, seriously, WHY do we keep posting paragraphs upon paragraphs about the Colts? I have a message for all the Colts fans around -- yes, we realize it's early in the season. We realize there are 11 games to go. However, the other thing we realize is that the Bears are not merely winning these games -- they are dominating. The Colts have beaten the teams they have played by 5, 19, 7, 3 and 1 point, respectively. The Bears have beaten the teams they have played by 26, 27, 3, 31, and 37 respectively. The Colts have outscored their opponents 135-100. The BEARS have outscored their opponents 156-36. Yes the Colts have Peyton Manning. But they don't have a defense like the Bears do, and DEFENSE WINS FOOTBALL GAMES. It's hard for the other team to win when they don't score any points.
So I'd appreciate it if we realize that right now, yes, the Bears are the best team in football. Maybe they won't go 16-0. Maybe they will. But the fact of the matter remains that regardless of Peyton Manning, the Bears are the best team in football. Peyton could be argued as the best quarterback in football, but the Colts are NOT the best team in football.

marcus, you realize now you are officially rooting for the colts, and not the bears....can't switch midseason.
I think I'll stick with the Colts, seeing as it's much more fun tweaking your nerves schmitty. But I do reserve the right to have a favorite afc and nfc team... if they meet in the super bowl, my allegiance goes to the colts..
suuuure... say it is all about "tweaking nerves". we ALL now know where your loyalties lie.
That's why "you" guys are labeled the Super Fans.. I've never been shy about expressing my loyalties... :) I'll state it here for the record.. IF the bears and colts meet in the super bowl... i will be rooting for the colts..
state it on the MAIN page, my friend. then maybe we'll take it as officiallyon the record. ;-)
