Lisa Schmidt, Bears Super Fan
Okay Marcus. Here's the thing. The Bears have always had the defense. Always been known for their defense. And now they have an offense. It used to be, you went to the bathroom when the offense was on the field because you didn't think anything exciting would happen. You always had to be around when the defense was on the field. Now there's no time to go to the bathroom, or get a drink or a hot dog. Only commercial breaks and half time.
Yes, I think the Bears can beat the Colts. And I like Peyton. Alot. I would not choose Michael Vick over Peyton (Vick is overrated in my opinion). I think Peyton is an excellent quarterback and I think he is a good person. However, he has not been able to come through in the big game. And, Indy's offensive line has never really seen this Bears defense. And this Bears defense is hungry, and last time I checked, a Bear would beat a Colt in a fight. When the Bears lost in the playoffs last year (cue the tears), Indy was my choice to win the Super Bowl. Hence, the fact that I like Peyton. But unfortunately, I don't think Indy has the defense to get through the playoffs, and they are sustaining alot of injuries right now. I think a Bears v. Patriots rematch may be in the stars.
So Marcus, you can jump on the bandwagon (although I am not one to condone wagon jumping -- I think you should stay true to your team no matter where you live) but if you do know this -- if the Bears and the Colts meet in the postseason, declaring your allegiance to the Bears now means you can't root for the Colts in that instance. So choose wisely.
Onto the game. I still don't really understand why Buffalo has a football team -- I mean does New York need three teams? But anyway, I think the Bears defense is going to have another spectacular display of holding the Bills to single digits. My prediction is 34-7.
