I'm sorry Glenn, but for now, I can't pick any wild card coming from our division, especially with the stacked NFC East and and NFC South. But of course it's still only week one, and basically anything can happen, including Aaron Rogers attemping to stab Brett Favre's right throwing arm. Some random thoughts:
It didn't hit me until now that the Sports Gal also picked us to lose... but I'll forgive her, just for her great Lindsay Lohan rant.
How many Chicago championships would you trade for another Bears Super Bowl this year? I'm thinking I'd give a couple MJ's (but I get to keep "The Shot) and an MLS Cup... and trust me, that is coming from a Fire fan.
How many of us would it take to fight Brian Urlacher? All eleven, and then some?
Why do NFL jerseys cost 75 dollars? Is there any valid reason for the 35 dollar price jump in about a 6 year span? Why should a jersey cost more then an actual ticket to a game?
I personally wish the Bears could use Hawk Harrelson as an announcer. "He gone!" would be the perfect call after every big Urlacher hit. In fact, I wish Hawk could call every Chicago sport. I'm not sure if he'd mention a single peep after the first pitch of a Cubs game though...
"And the Bears with the 30th pick of the draft select.... Joey Lynch from Ball State!" I can only dream...
I hope five years from now Rex Grossman doesn't have to run 39 commercials like Peyton Manning to gain love from the fans.
