Sue must have heard me at the Arizona game yelling for Lovie to take Rex out and put Griese in. And I'm not going to deny the fact that I thought the Bears should have stuck with Kyle last season. But that's water under the bridge now. It's not being a bad Bears fan to like Griese and Orton--aren't they both in a Bear's uniforms, too? Lovie doesn't seem as hardheaded as the previous coaches who would stick with the starter no matter what. He kept Lance and Ruben as seconds until they reclaimed the first string job, and I think he would just as easily switch to the second quarterback when necessary. At least I hope he would. Rex did a great job and the receivers, especially Mushin, made some outstanding catches. The outcome was better than we all imagined. Time to concentrate on Detroit! And the red zone.
